Wait for the wiiu which is backwards compatible. The wiiis more than worth the money. The Nintendo games alone are worth buying it for. If you are looking for non shooters buy it for sure. What kind of games are you into?

The Wii is for you. You really cannot lose by buying a Wii. I recommend purchasing BIT.TRIP Collection, Monster Hunter tri, Trauma Center Second Opinion (along with the other games, that I've yet to play). |

If you wanna play Donkey Kong, Mario and Zelda then yeah the Wii is a great choice. Then again i would say the Snes is a better choice, but thats just me. I bought my Wii back in November and i still havent played it, mainly because all of the titles actually worth playing are priced way too high...even second hand. ![]() |

The Wii has quite a few RPG's that's worth your time plus a first party lineup that can go head to head with any Nintendo console. The Wii saw the return of Punch Out and Donkey Kong Country and the first true Kirby platformer since Kirby 64! 3 Mario platformers plus the Paper Mario and Mario Kart games! Two Zelda games and the direct sequel to Fire Emblem on the Game Cube! RPG's worth your time on the Wii.... Xenoblade Chronicles - Arguably The best RPG this generation The Last Story Opoona Monster Hunter Tri Phantom Brave: We Meet Again Rune Factory: Frontier Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga Tales Of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Arc Rise Fantasia The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn The Wii is totally worth the money unless your planing on picking up the Wii U in November then I would hold off and just get the Wii U because it will be backward compatible with Wii games. if you want more Wii recommendations check out the Wii thread here... http://petesgameroomforum.com/topic/4300602/ Edited by majinpowers, Sep 18 2012, 12:15 AM.

The Wii is a great buy now. The hardware is cheap, the games are cheap, and when you get past the shovelware, it's a ton of fun. |

I would definitely buy a Wii. There a ton of great games on it. Now granted, it's not as great as PS3 or 360, but the games on it are what really matter. You need to do research before you go and buy Wii games cause about 90% of it's library is garbage. Plus alot of the great games on Wii didn't sell well so they most likely will be rare and sought after in the future. Especially the operation rainfall games. |
