A mear hours after listing to the latest episode I finally took the plung and watched 12 angry men. All I have to say is "why did I wait this long!!!"
The movie is fantastic, all of the elements that come together make a great movie. I love how the unspoken words say a lot. Such as when the third person said not guilty and the guy with the tickets hung his coat up, how the little things like that say a lot f what the person is thinking. And I loved trying to put the puzzle pieces together before they said them. Like with the train and hearing the yelling, and the glasses.
A truly great movie
Anyone else's finaly watch it?

I'm glad you watched 12 Angry Men and enjoyed it so much. It's an exceptional movie that has really aged well, in my opinion. It's hard to decide on a favourite movie of all time, but this was a fairly easy choice for me considering that I've seen it countless times and have never gotten tired of it. Has anyone else seen it? Be sure to let us know :)

I recently watched it for the first time as well, and it was EXCELLENT! I really loved it.

It really is a test case for just how far a great script can carry such a simple movie. It's a near masterpiece

I watched it last night for the first time and it really impressed me. I love character-driven dramas and this is one of the best. It's amazing how a 96-minute film about 12 people discussing a crime in the same room can be this intense! You got to have an excellent script and great actors to pull that off. And they sure did!

I haven't been able to watch the film yet, but I would like to note that just now I finished reading the play as a part of my homework assignment for school this weekend and it was great! It was amazing to see all of the different Jurors' personalities coming to light and to see how much one Juror went through to turn the whole case around. I don't know how differently the movie portrays it, but I'd say I definitely lean towards the kid being truly not guilty after reading the play. It's really intriguing to see the flaws of our judicial system. If you think about it, the kid REALLY lucked out that day. If Juror Eight hadn't been so caring or reasonable, the kid wouldn't have stood a chance because from the start of the trial, the other eleven jurors were already ready to send him off to die so he owes a lot to that one Juror.

It also makes you think how sad it has become to where the majority of people wouldn't care to take time out of their day and give someone a fair shot if it simply inconveniences them for a while. It's a shame to think about.

I believe we are going to watch the movie in class at some point, but even if not my brother has it on DVD and I plan to watch it (the black and white version, of course). I'm looking forward to seeing how the visual interpretation holds up to my own.

I like that movie. Was really crazy you guys brought it up since the only other person I know who knew about it was my dad. He passed away two years ago, but hearing about that movie again brought back good memories, so thanks for that.
