Going against typical Rad Rascal fashion, Ben and Andy go solo in episode 32 and arrive totally unprepared. No outline, no topic and no guest. However, they quickly find their groove and have a riotously good time as always. Topics covered include our biggest disappointments in gaming (and media in general), which in turn led to many "sad panda" moments, as well as the usual games and TV shows that we have been enjoying. All in all, 'twas a fine episode that we hope you'll enjoy. As always, feedback is welcome...flaming us for our choice of disappointing games is encouraged ![]() Here's the linky-link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTvP5lU29Kc&feature=g-u-u As always, the iTunes and MP3 links are posted in the video description. Question of the Week: What have been some of your biggest disappointments in gaming? By that, we mean what games did you have high hopes for, only to be sorely disappointed. Share your pain with us in the thread below. |

To be quite honest, me or my friends had never heard of it (this was 3 or so years ago), and we just started saying 'schloopy' to each other as an in joke. Then I happened to look it up, and then found out what it mean and I went ":O!", now it really is in IN joke lolol Edited by helsinkirocks, Nov 15 2012, 10:15 PM.

Im the same, i loved Morrowind and i love the later titles like Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim but i just couldn't get into Oblivion Properly. I didnt feel it was bland or generic, i actually think its quite a pleasant game and i have spent many hours playing it. The problem is that i LOVE Morrowind, i think its one of the best RPG's ever made and thats really hard to live up to for any game. Oblivion felt too restrictive in comparison and the quick traveling took away some element of the vast map area. Morrowind is a cruel mistress for any beginner, but if you take the time to figure out her little bugs and quirks and learn to exploit her weakness' she'll have you on your knees begging for more. |

Loved the episode guys, but why do you have to keep having us look up stuff like one guy one jar. Question of the Week: Some of the games that I have been disappointed in are: Gran Turismo 5: The reason that I bought a PS3. The gameplay was what I had expected it to be, but the music was the worse part of the game. It sounded like music you would play at a funeral. They need to understand what makes a good racing game tight controls and great music. Grand Theft Auto 4: Seem like they took all of the stuff that made Vice City and San Andreas fun and just thrown it in the trash. No I don't want to go bowling, play darts, or go to the bar. I just want to blow shit up. Dragon Age 2: Liked the conversation wheel that they put in the game, but that did not make up of that they used the same 5 buildings or caves that they used in every mission. Nier: Got to the fishing part of the game and it pissed me off so much that I traded it in a few days after I bought it. Before Andy rips me a new one. I have since re bought the game on his recommendation, just have yet to play it again. HEY Ben this is your weekly reminder to play Borderlands 2. |

Ok for the question, i have some dissapointments in gaming, not that games are bad its just that i couldnt get into, first example Shadow of the colossus after hearing how awesome this game was i had high hopes, for me its quite boring and uninteresting, i know everyone loves it but i just cant get into. Another one is kingdom hearts, i mean FF characters all over the place and disney cartoons its sounds... wierd but awesome the thing is i only have tried the first one and its so slow altough i got one for the psp and its pretty good. And finally Red Steel 2, guns and swords?? sign me in, but no the control are soooo bad i cant imagine how the controls for the first were if this was supposed to be the better of the two. Finally guys i just wanted to thank you for the awesome podcast i LOL everytime i hear you, this has become my favorite podcast i cant believe how the two of you have such great chemistry and are able to pull podcasts 3 or 4 hours long, i hope to be hearing of you for a long time and congratulations for being awesome, greetings from Mexico |
