Aparantly there will be a smaller version of the Wii coming out soon. Seem kind of pointless if you ask me. The Wii U is already out. Plus the Wii is already insanely small. It's like the GBA Micro all over again.

Removing WiFi & Gamecube support is a real bummer...but it looks fantastic! If it was a bit cheaper, I might go for it...

I also like how it's now a manual top loader. That means the drive will probably last longer than a mechanical one over the next couple decades. Good for collectors.

They already removed GameCube support with the current Wii models anyway.

Yeah, seems pretty pointless considering how small the Wii already was. This isn't a handheld either, where the super small rendition of the GBA, the Micro, was justified.

As someone without a wii I was actually waiting for the price to hit $100. I think I will be picking this up next week. I believe gamecube functionality was already taken out of the current wii's and doesn't everybody complain about how useless nintendo's online system is?

Anyways the GC functionality and Online are not functions I would use on a wii if it had them so why not buy the smaller, top loading console.

I would love a Wii handheld, but it would be nice if it had Gamecube support.

without wifi, sorta pointless. Why did they take out wifi? that's really stupid. At least it's designed nice.

I love the look of the console, but I see no point in buying it when I have a fully operational Wii already. Still, it's not aimed at those of us who play online, rather it's for the most casual of gamers who just want a "plug and play" console. It would be perfect for families with multiple kids, since the low price point means you could buy more than one, and the lack of internet connectivity isn't that big a deal for this demographic. The same goes for the Gamecube backwards compatibility.

This is going to be the Wii version of the PSP go. No body is going to care or like it and nobody is going to buy it.
