With the new year upon us and all that holiday shite out of the way, it's time for another rapscallious episode of the Rad Rascals. In this 3 hours of awesome, Ben and Andy delve into some of their goals, ambitions and attitudes towards money. What would we do if we won the lottery, how does gaming affect our wallets and just some random waffle about our dream game rooms. Additionally, we cover some of the games that have been assaulting their eyeballs, some unusual TV shows, and the long awaited return of the return of the cat segment. To those with dirty minds attend, the new "Name That Sex Act" game is also present here. Enjoy! Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxOAkTXQo38 The MP3 and iTunes links are in the video description box. Question of the Week: If you won the lottery, or came into a substantial amount of money, what would you do with it? Gaming or otherwise, let us know. |

Question of the Week- It really depends how big of a lottery I won. If it were a couple million (2 or 3), I would obviously buy a house/car/etc to take care of me and my fiance's needs and then focus on wants. Now if we're talking excesses amounts of money like 500 million? Buy every game I've ever wanted for every system I've ever wanted, which would honestly probably be less than 30 or 40 thousand bucks. Hot alaskan bull worm. I would buy myself and all of my band mates top quality instruments, go a to a killer recording studio to record our music. Fund Shenmue 3 out of my pocket. Collect vintage instruments.... On the subject of objectiphilia, look up the woman in france who is legally married to the Eiffel Tower. Also, in Devil May Cry, Andy is right, the guns aren't meant to be a main weapons, they are a way to keep your combo going, so you can change weapons and keep your style meter filling. DmC personally looks crap, I can't stand the ruining of the characters, horrible story (from what I've seen), mediocre combat (compared to the originals, 4, and Bayonetta), 30fps, ugly, ugly Unreal Engine. I will buy, if only because I can fan of the series. I'm sure I'll dig it a bit but, ugh. Edited by helsinkirocks, Jan 20 2013, 07:16 AM.

QOTW Response: If I were to win the lottery or acquire a substantial amount of money, the thing I would like to do most is take a around the world trip for a better part of a year or so and try and visit some of the people I have become friends with online including your two good selves (if you have me that is otherwise you'lll probably tell me to piss off) New Zealand will be a primary location, as I would just love to see some of the locations that Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed and just be amazed with the beautiful surroundings. To be honest, I wouldn't go out of my way to buy loads of games but just the ones that I want that are expensive nowadays like your Earthbounds and Panzer Dragoon Saga and buy a bigger house or just buy the one I am currently renting off the landlord since moving with all my shit would be a real drag! Oh not to mention pay off my student loans, since I am about 8 grand in the hole with that. Edited by Darro, Jan 26 2013, 01:18 PM.

Oh man don't even get me started! First off house on the beach in Manhattan Beach or Hermosa Beach, California. As far as I'm concerned that area is paradise, and I even got to meet my hero Michael Strahan in Manhattan Beach! Obviously I'm going to need a professional poker table with strippers as the dealers whenever friends come over. Wishing well. A never ending supply of blow, and a wine cellar. My own bar with every kind of alcohol imaginable...except Gin, fuck Gin. I'm going to need to build a theater for gaming, and a minimum of four 60" Samsung tv's in my man cave for sports. Yankees and NY Giants swag to cover the walls because they are the greatest sports teams in existence. Maybe some Mike Tyson stuff too since I watched a lot of his stuff growing up with my Dad, including the time he went all cannibal on Holyfield. Lol. When it comes to cars only BMW, and Mercedes for me. The Germans know how to make cars right. German Knuckle Cake. On my balcony I'm going to need a nice table with a built in keg in the center. I'm also going to need a live in Italian woman who cooks sausage and peppers, various other Italian dishes for me since I can't cook worth a shit, and speaks little English. If she's bangable then that's always a plus too. I would be traveling to a minimum of five countries per year, and my mom, sis, and future niece would be receiving large sums of money with my niece having any college of her choice paid off. Gorilla mask. I'm also going to need a swimming pool with a bar in the center of it with two hot Swedish topless blondes serving margaritas. I can drink that shit like water. Gaming wise I'd just buy mostly whatever is current since I couldn't give a fuck less about the rarer games like Panzer Dragoon Saga, or Earthbound. I would definitely pick up the arcade machine for Killer Instinct since that's my favorite fighting game of all time. I could list more but this is tl;dr now. Good episode so far guys! I'm 2 hours in. Ben definitely hit up Coachella one of these years. It's really good times, and there's a beer garden there too! Just really hoping that Daft Punk is one of the headliners this year. I know it's a rumor every year, but dammit I want some fuckin Daft Punk mother fuckers. They should be announcing the lineup this Monday hopefully, and I believe tix go on sale February 1st. Also you're a dirty fucking whore rocking a pearl necklace! Btw off topic, but fuck the Patriots. Seriously. Edited by NinjaPenguin8969, Jan 20 2013, 06:02 AM.

QOTW: (First responder here...woot woot) In all honesty, now that I'm on this internship, and I have more disposable income, I'm beginning to realize that money is nice to have, but at the end of the day can be dangerous. Yeah, it's great to pick up games when I want, but getting that game provides such a temporal level of joy and satisfaction. Especially when you log on to Youtube and see the deluge of "Game Pickup" videos in your subscriber inbox. Half the time, and I know I can't be the only one, I nearly forget about game X I just bought because so-and-so just bought game X, Y, AND Z. What I'm getting at is, had I won the lottery, I wouldn't really want to stockpile on a bunch of games. I have quite a bit of family members who live in less than stable living conditions to say the least, paycheck to paycheck to put food on the table, and are really in poor health. Personally, I would much rather use the acquired funds from the lottery to get them out of the hole they're currently living in, bring them to better health, and witness the improvement in their day-to-day lives far more than stare at a scratch and sniff stickers from a complete copy of Earthbound or mint copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Just my two cents, though! However, this is not to say I wouldn't treat myself to something! I would take the trip that I've only dreamed of, and that would be to Japan. Always been a "bucket list" fantasy of mine, and something I think is realistic that I could actually do in the future at some point...hopefully! Enjoyed responding, and longtime listener, so not sure why I haven't before! Keep up the great work you guys, and I'm looking forward to taking part in these discussions in weeks to come! ![]() Edited by relewis2011, Jan 20 2013, 01:13 PM.

Question of the Week: If you won the lottery, or came into a substantial amount of money, what would you do with it? Gaming or otherwise, let us know. Response: 1. Buy a castle in Norway 2. Build the ultimate gamer/music/tech house in North America 3. Buy something ridiculous off eBay, like a $5000 grilled cheese and see if I hate myself for it 4. Travel everywhere 5. Donate to the Video Game Museum and Children's Hospital It's hard to predic what I would actually do though. Kind of like what relewis2011 is saying, I can't imagine myself going crazy spending just because I have the money. I never want to overpay for something even if I have the means to do it, that's simply be smart with your money. I would honestly probably figure out how to invest said money, give to some causes I stand behind, and do the things I love to do, such as travel, play music, and of course, play video games. |

I think i would keep my winnings a secret at first, maybe give myself some time to come to terms with my vast fortunes. I think i'd sort out my family first, make sure they are have hoes that they own outright, pay off thier arrears and give them a little money pit to have fun with. I would probably downplay my earnings to my friends though, make out i just got enough to but some property and keep myself funded for the rest of my days. Im sure it would come out in the end though, would be pretty obvious as i lay drunk on the pub floor in a pool of my own urine every night. As for things i would buy, i would build a house with a very large basement so that i could set up some sort of recording studio. I have quite a few guitars but have no space for Cabs, Heads and effect racks...nevermind a mixing board! I'd like to have an arcade room that looked onto the back garden, i'd like to be able to open it up on the nice days and invite friends over for a BBQ, then we could get some cold ones in and i could show off some cool 80's and 90's arcade machines. I've always wanted the sit-in Afterburner machine ever since i was a kid so that would probably be the first one in there! I'd also pay someone to make me a handheld Amiga 500, it would be ridiculous but totally worth it. |

Like I said on Facebook, I would fly Ben, Andsy, and Liam over here to shoot stuff and punch eachother in the dicks. Then I'd buy myself a quaint little fuckoff island, build a super bunker on it, and never be seen or heard from again. |

Question of the week: If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is offer some to my family. My parents live in a home that my great grandfather built himself and a house being that old is in need of some home repair. The second thing I would do is offer some to my friends if they accept it. I have a friend who is going through a tough divorce and debt collector are calling them daily. So I would like to help them out if I could if I won the lottery. After my family and friend are helped I would focus on myself paying off student loans and other bills. Not sure how much I would win from the lottery but if there was at least a million dollars left I would put it in the bank and live off the interest. As for gaming, if I won the lottery I would to get a complete NES collection. |

The troll in me would have to buy that near mint unopened copy of Stadium Events that sold for over $20k a year or so ago. I would then do a really brutal unboxing video using a hacksaw and finally set fire to all the contents, then just sit back and laugh at the slew of angry comments and dislikes on youtube. If i acquired billions id also buy the Shenmue licence and use the IP to just release crappy hidden object games without any plot connection to the 2 main games bar the main character being a long distance relative of Ryo. Man Coachella blew their load last year. This year is really disappointing in comparison. I may not go after all since I've seen a good chunk of these people already :/ Based on this lineup I'd pretty much just be in the Sahara tent all weekend.

Question of the Week: Lets just say that if I won the lotto I would probably do the smart thing. First thing would be to buy a nice house (not a big house because of high taxes) then I would buy a new car and invest the rest of it so that I don't have to work hard ever again. And last but not least get a part time job that I would enjoy going to so that I would not drive myself insane. Sorry Ben raisins do not belong in cookies. Oh there's some good stuff here for sure, it's just that they've had a lot of these bands at previous Coachella's. If I won the lottery I would hire a marching band to follow me into work to tell my boss I quit. After that I would either open up an arcade or a record store and hire some friends to work for me. I would also give my parents enough money to retire early.

If I won the lottery and this is 130 Million (which is where the current Montana Powerbal Jackpot is)I'd get my student loans paid off, along with all the other debt I have. Get back into college to get a degree, buy my mom a house, before using any of it towards my own gaming hobbies, beefing up my collection, getting a kick ass gaming pc, getting a good video camera, microphone and capture device for my youtube channel, then probably go do some traveling to meet up with some fellow youtubers, podcasters, go to PAX stuff like that, then go on a dickpunch tour to punch Fred Phelps, Jack Thompson and Ralph Nader square in the dick.

Well since you guys didn't say an amount ill just go with it. If the amount was $5,000,000 the first $2,000,000 would go to my parents, that their share what they get with one condition. They would (knowing them) first buy a house and my only condition with the giving them the money is the house they buy should be a little bigger than they want with a large basement, and the basement would be completely mine. Its mine for my use, thats the condition. They only have to keep the house untill I move out and settle down in a house then they can do as they pleas with it, sell it, rent it out, and for the large majority of money left after buying a house they can do anything they want with it. With $200,000 i would buy anything that my heart desires, this money will be gone in a year. Starting with a complete boxed SNES collection which is $22,000 on ebay now. I would buy all the systems on my hit list and tons of games. Then in my basement besides storing games on shelves i start an arcade collection. I have wanted to get an arcade machine for a while but i just dont have the room, nor the money even though they are relitivly cheap. But i would buy tons of games that i will probaly never get in my lifetime due to space issues. $500,000 would go into a bank account for college for me in a few years. $1,000,000 would go for the next 40 years giving me $25,000 a year to spend on luxguries. Games, electronics, ect. $25,000 would go to buy a car in a year and the money left over (if any) in storage to pay for fixing the car when something breaks! The last 1,275,000 would go to once i finish college (this is arond 10 years in the future from today) to buy a house, and help pay for bills, expensies ect for the coming years. Now if it was an insain $300,000,000 , just mulitply everything by 5 and the rest would be spread out to pay for taxes and expensies for life. Giving a set amount of lugary money per year, just set for life on everything. Though i would still go to college and mabey get a job for "fun" and interacting with other members of the human species. That or just spend all that time learning programing and do that at home, issolated, in the dark, away from all humans... |

New Zealand will be a primary location, as I would just love to see some of the locations that Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed and just be amazed with the beautiful surroundings.
