The price just shot up over the holidays I hope they reprint it or something because every time I recommend it to someone they get turned off by the high price

Guess that's what happens when you live in a hillbilly town of less than 300 people. Last month I was going to order the game off of eBay because I hadn't gotten to buy and play it yet. I was so shocked to see the massively inflated prices. Luckily I live in a hick town too and my local gamestop had two remaining copies. I grabbed one for myself and one for my brother.

I supported Operation Rainfall, but, due to financial crap, I never got around to picking it up. I jumped on eBay a few weeks ago to finally pick up a new copy if I could, but when I saw the prices I changed my mind.

They have reprinted the game a million times and yet people keep putting off and off. The casual gamer isn't going on ebay and spending inflated money to buy a JRPG. It is a shame that the supposed hardcore gamer would not buy this game brand new with the many chances they had, when it was up for sale at gamestop and their site. Support the developer next time so we can get more games localized, not resellers.

Reason I think it is canned is because he said "some time ago" when it was only released April of last year ago. I'm guessing this is the standard response they give and they just substitute the name of the game. Quote: Hello, I can certainly understand your wanting to have a copy of this great game. However, since Xenoblade Chronicles was originally released some time ago, it may be difficult to find a new copy at a local or online retailer. While we don't have any plans on producing more copies of this game, you can still pursue other sources to find a copy. Also, there have been hundreds of Wii games released. If you can't locate the specific game you're looking for, there may be a similar game that's much easier to find. I didn't buy it right away because there isn't a GameStop within 65 miles of me, and I generally don't like supporting them anyways, hence why I didn't order it from their website. In the end it's Nintendo's fault for not giving it the wide release it deserved, and then throwing the two other games to other publishers instead of publishing it themselves - of course if they had done that, The Last Story would be going for just as much, and Pandora's Tower would as well.

It's not Nintendo charging these prices. These are online actions/sales not done by Nintendo. The MSRP was the regular $50 while it was still possible to get it in stores.

Otherwise I would've imported the US Wii. I guess us in Europe got the shorter end of the stick this time.
