How Do You Organize Your Collection?; I've developed a system to help everyone organize and manage their video game collections.

I have to organize my collection alphabetically, or else I can't find anything.

First off dinky i love the vids man! i organize my collection by company. i have been collecting for only 6 months
but i do it by Company for instance sega has a 2 shelfs for there games and systems and so on. not the best but it works
I organize my shelves by company as well. I have all my Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Saturn all together. Nintendo gets a little out of hand for me though. :)

Ds Games!

My ds games are all together alphabetically and so are my 3ds games. I don't have enough ps3 games to make this an issue so they're just in a pile under my ps3 in a cabinet. I use backloggery to keep track of which games I've beaten and to keep a count.

I decided to check out your site but I can't use it. No Japanese games, which is half of my collection. I have a bunch of them including 6 WonderSwan games, which isn't in your catalog. Are there plans to add Japanese games to your database?

As for how I organize my collection, I really don't. I just put them in the shelf and there you go. Some of them I paste some plastic hooks and put them on the wall but otherwise I just go Happy Console Gamer style.

However, in my computer, I have a database in a excel file but this is more to catalog every single crossover game, which is what I collect. They're arranged by series but I make different sheets for different sections such as by company or year.

Alphabetic organization is vastly overrated. I prefer by genre (which I sometimes use), or by publisher. Or, simply by platform no specific order.

In the future, I will certainly be adding import games as well as allowing users to add their own games manually. Currently, let's say for Super Nintendo, You could manually input the game information to build a list. Problem is, I don't have a full japanese Super Famicom list of games, let alone a way to find their values. :(

In due time, I will solve this problem though. Thanks for checking out the site!

Sega Does What Nintendon't

Just started using this today and its a great tool for collectors. I cant wait to get the rest of my collection implemented into the web page!

Is there a way to browse through other peoples collections from the sight? Also is there a way to add pictures of your collections for people to see?

Really liking the site.
Just put up my ps3 collection only so far, there were quite a few that were not already on the site, so I manually enter them, which won't have the prices.
But tell me if this works.

Thanks Nathan. I am not able to keep the lists up to date with modern releases so any games added manually get sent to me to approve. Once approved, they're added to the database and hopefully that will help keep the lists current. Nice collection. I see you have Demon's Souls but no Dark Souls!!! lol

Thanks for checking it out Majin! I knew Master System would be one of the first ones you added. lol

I am in the process of networking users together to browse profiles. Currently, I have not given a way to browse yet.

Also, adding images will be coming very soon. I'm designing a system for users to upload game thumbnails, etc. But I would also like to allow users to add images of their own personal collections so keep an eye out for that in the future.
