New User Posts: 10 Group: Members Member #3,396 Joined: Feb 7, 2011	All through out the gaming generations of past systems there is usually always one fantastic game that its so good people will still be playing it 10+ years into the future after its release and it's still worth getting a "dead" console for that game. However I've notice through out this generation in my opinion that there are just no games that are good enough that I will still be playing 10+ years into the future. Older games seem to be made to last much longer than games today that seem to be made to be played only for a short while, not over years and years and years. I only have a PS3 this generation. I was wondering if there are any games that would still be worth playing or have the potential to still be good for another 10+ years for any system this generation?

Sega Does What Nintendon't Posts: 3,285 Group: Moderator Member #792 Joined: May 25, 2009	Xenoblade Chronicles - One of if not the best RPG of this generation. Fallout 3 and NV - I have played through Fallout 3 two times and still love this game! (One of my favorites from this gen) Valkyria Chronicles - I think the art style of this game will make it remain timeless! Super Mario Galaxy 2- The very best of modern 3D platforming. Anything made by Vanillaware... There games will always remain timeless because of there 2D hand drawn/painted art style. Not to mention there very well made and enjoyable games!

I SUCK AT GAMES Posts: 3,048 Group: Members Member #1,200 Joined: Aug 29, 2009 Currently Playing Horizon: Zero Dawn	I'll definitely revisit Uncharted 2 and Tomb Raider (newest one). I've already gone back to Uncharted 2 on multiple occasions. Batman Arkham Asylum Dragon Age Origins Alan Wake Gears of War 1 Halo 4 & Anniversary Deus Ex: Human Revolution Mass Effect Trilogy Metro Last Light God of War III Bioshock Trilogy Rainbow Six Vegas...primarily terrorist hunt! If Bad Company 2 was still active on Xbox I'd play the hell out of that game for years to come. I liked it a lot more than Battlefield 3.

Level 5 Posts: 612 Group: Members Member #2,277 Joined: Jun 30, 2010	Starcraft 2 Mount & Blade: Warband Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood & Revelations Dragon Age: Origins and maybe 2 & 3 if 3 is at least on the same level as Origins Europa Universalis IV Crusader Kings 2 Football Manager 2013 The Witcher 1, 2 and very likely 3 when it comes F1 2012 or F1 2013 when it comes probably. It's one of those series which I get a new one every other year although I don't think Codemaster is going to add much so I think I'll stick with 2013 because the driver/team line up is awesome. Those are the ones that first come to mind. I'd also love to think that I'll still play Warcraft 3 custom games in a few years time but other than a few of the most popular ones it's pretty dead. I think modern video games in general are much better than 10+ years ago (in general).
