Quote: While revenue actually climbed from ¥82 billion ($820m) to ¥94 billion ($940m) in the year ended March 31 2013, the company's attempts to pivot in virtually every aspect of its Digital Contents business - which comprises console, PC and mobile development, and accounted 67.7 per cent of all revenue - saw profits fall by more than half to just $31 million. It's impossible to recover after the crap they have done. With Mighty No. 9 getting over 2 million dollars, we all know where Capcom's real fans have gone.

And this one is seriously easy to research because Capcom is a public company and they post their financial data on their website. Seriously, go to Capcom’s website and download the handy excel file they have there showing the breakdown of their assets from 1999. You’ll quickly see that the total assets are currently higher than virtually all but three of those years. Also, it’s not even like Capcom is not profitable. They are making money. Less money than last year but they are still in the black here. They just made less profit than they have in the past two years. That’s to be expected considering how RE6 sold. I’m not exactly sure how some financial writer saying: “At present, Capcom has just over $152 million in cash, which isn't much for a company attempting to navigate the costly transition to a new hardware generation and the company-wide implementation of a service-based infrastructure. “ went to “Even worse, of course, this is a next-generation transition. I don't deny that they could do something great with Megaman, they are a perfect fit for the franchise. I just wouldn't want to see him plastered over a hundred games, as long as they had some restraint then i'm sure there would be some damn fine Megaman games.

As much as I like to see them suffer, we have to be realistic here. I don't hate Capcom but they have made some bad decisions in recent years. Maybe they could Hire Inafune's company "Comcept" to make new Mega Man games...or maybe WayForward perhaps could do a new Mega Man Game. I would allow that. Edited by S_Pac316, Sep 14 2013, 03:39 AM.

Hopefully we see more good to come with Deep Down and maybe another Dragons Dogma. Maybe Deep Down will be a spiritual successor to DD.
