I hypothesized that the majority of PGRF are metal fans, he countered with the claim that the majority of you prefer the comfort of a more ebullient media known as anime. But that's only because I play in a black metal band and music in general has always been an outlet for me. I do love anime though, especially mecha oriented anime.

Origin are a hell of a band, but At the Gates are one of my favourites. I prefer Terminal Spirit Disease and earlier though, something about Slaughter of the Soul just sounds like slayer tuned down to B. :/ I think all thier best creative material was the Red in the sky/With Fear... era. It seems to me like most people only talk about Slaughter of the Soul.

IMO they're not even metal and I think some metalheads find that insulting. Other than that, I'm more of an anime fan than a metalhead, I just didn't grow up with too many metal bands is why. My logic was loosely strung together, however, I was thinking in the lines that people who like CRPG/WRPGs will probably like or prefer metal, and people who like JRPGs will usually like or prefer anime. Not saying you can't like both, but I've definitely noted a trend. Then again, that wasn't really the point of Justin's discussion. He was advising me to make a Gentlemen's Music Challenge that strictly focused on metal, which is a good idea only if there's enough people who actually would participate. A bunch of people who were into metal didn't join the previous challenges, so I don't want to bother making a music challenge that would only have 4 or 5 participants.. If even that.
