So, with Grand Theft Auto V coming out in 2 days, I want to know what your favorite GTA game is. I voted for San Andreas, the atmosphere and the game in general was just pure awesomeness. Here's hoping that GTA V lives up to the hype! |

For me, Vice City has the best memories. The combination of the city, classic (now) gameplay and the soundtrack just put it over the top. I really hope they return to Vice City on the new consoles...San Andres was the most polished and clearly the largest of the PS2 era offerings, but to me the cultural context of Vice City wins out. I am on the fence about V though. I hated IV and I'll have to see some extended gameplay and reviews before picking it up. |

I've liked them all so it was kind of hard to choose. The first one blew me away when first released, we played the timed PC demo for hours at a time before it's actual release. GTA2 managed to just improve everything about the first title, and is why it is probably still my favourite. The wacky missions and the 3 factions mechanic make the game a lot of fun and just complete chaos. I like the later games too but i actually hate the missions a lot of the time, they always just seem to get in the way of the fun a lot of the time. |

SA for me. IV just seemed a bit too overwhelming at times. I couldn't enjoy screwing around as much as the previous games. |

Vice City. It's also the only GTA game I completed and I loved typing in cheat codes and fighting the police and military in that game lol. Loving GTA V so far though, so it may replace Vice City as my favorite. |

I like most of them...but I did enjoy San Andreas more. I liked the 90's nostalgia and it's the only GTA game I finish the main story in.

My personal favourite GTA game is Vice City because of the setting but I also love how they implemented the pseudo-Scarface rags to riches storyline. You do small end jobs for people around town until you're able to start buying property, which unlocks missions you need to complete in order start earning money off each asset. It's great how the property management drives the story rather than just the conventional story missions and it made me feel like some bad ass enterprising Goodfella. I wish property management was implemented like that in GTA V, but they made that feature something to do on the side rather than an integral part of the gameplay. If I had a PSP I'd love to play Vice City Stories since the Australian PSN store does not provide a PS3 compatible version of the game. Now, technically, San Andreas is the best |

I loved Vice City and SA, but my most played is IV because of the online. GTA 5 however,.....im so let down by it. Makes a nice beer coaster though. 5 sucks |
