I was really into Dawn of Sorrow and decided to pick up Castlevania Circle of the Moon & Aria of Sorrow at a local game store. I tried Circle of the Moon first and it's pretty fun but I was expecting a bit more. Is Circle of the Moon one of the weaker ones on the GBA or were my expectations higher because of Dawn of Sorrow?

I do still think it's pretty fun, I just feel like it's missing something is all

I actually never played the GBA ones but I would suggest get the 2 other ds games Portrait of Ruin which is a sequel to Bloodlines, and the other Order of Ecclesia

I've actually played both and Portrait of Ruin was really good as well. It's not as good as Dawn of Sorrow but it's not off by much. I think the different soul collecting is what made Dawn of Sorrow better. I wasn't a fan of Order of Ecclesia just because of the difficulty. The first boss took so long to defeat that I gave up after that.

Order of Ecclesia is actually the easiest of the three, because each boss has a specific weakness that makes them much, much easier to defeat. As far as the GBA games go, I also had Circle of the moon and enjoyed the aspect of being able to change your whip to accomplish different goals, but over all it was on the weaker side of the Castlevania games, but not bad.
