The last game in the series was Far East of Eden Ziria which was released for Xbox 360 and since Hudson was absorbed into Konami we weren’t sure if we would see another Far East Eden game again. But, there is one in development. Playdek, the company working with Tactics Ogre creator Yasumi Matsuno, announced they are also making a Far East of Eden card game for mobile platforms. The game is slated for release in late 2014 and it will be released internationally. Perhaps more interesting than seeing the Far East of Eden revival is that Konami is actively licensing out Hudson’s library of IPs. That means there is a chance we’ll see another Bomberman, Bonk, maybe even Air Zonk game some day in the future. Hopefully a psp/vita greatest hits collection of FEoE will come out. It really bothers me Japan is going more and more mobile.

Like I said, its great to see the IP continue on but it is such a shame Konami won't localize the series.

I've struggled through some of FEoE 3 (the one where you can play as Kabuki) with a FAQ and the charm and high quality design shine through the language barrier. The one on the Saturn is also gorgeous, and would be worthy of a translation as it is set here in the US. I know it will probably never happen, but one can dream...
