Dragon Quest 1-8 will soon be appearing on mobile platforms. This suggests that the next Dragon Quest game might be exclusive to both tablet and smartphone devices. It works for the genre, but I'd hardly say that it's perfect for it.

I have been interested in getting the Moga controller, looks pretty damn sweet and i've heard a lot of good things about it.

My reasoning is you get to menus much quicker with touch devices, making choices is practically instantaneous. It's so great, we've seen touch screen implemented in the DS Pokemon games. However, I do understand why people prefer having a physical d-pad to press on, it's a cognitive thing for people who adapted to that kind of control scheme. However, the digital d-pad is no different since it's as precise as a physical one.

Combine DQ+Mobile Gaming and you have a lot of potential profit. As long as this doesn't distract them from making quality games, then I don't care. If you don't like the idea, then simply don't buy it.

Two very memorable games for me, the way the stories and characters developed really drew me in and dragon quest since has become my favorite rpg series on the ds. I'm also really hoping the 3ds gets DQ 7 and 8. I don't know if the games coming to mobile devices is good to expand interest, or bad for the sake of future 3ds releases.
