Alright lads, let's get serious. The topic of this week's episode is bullying and all it's forms, spurred on by a viral video that got us thinking. We delve deep into our experiences with bullying, our opinions on the topic and the societal impact that bullying leads to. It's serious business, chaps, but we didn't want to "Doge" the issue (you'll get that pun when you listen). That is not to say that you won't be getting your usual dose of rasciality, complete with the usual jokes, puns, and oh yeah, video game talk!

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hm-apgBp5s

The MP3 and iTunes links are in the video description. The iTunes feed should be fully operational.

Open Discussion Time

It's not a gaming topic per se, but it's something topical and relevant: What have been some of your experiences with bullying? What are your opinions on the cause, effect and solition of it, and do you feel that more needs to be done to stop it? Let's talk.

Fantastic Episode gents, or should I say Rascals?

Really love it when you two go off the topic of games and focus on other items that affect each of us in many different ways. Bullying is something that we have had forever and only through hard work and perseverance will we be able as a society to grow out of it. That being said jumping in and intervening in a situation like the one depicted in the video isn't always a good move, and in all honesty most times it wouldn't be recommended. It has the potential to highly escalate the situation and ever more so it can get you hurt and others hurt in the process. The best method for tackling something like that is to be there for the bullied and to help educate them on the fact that there are places they can go for help from professionals. Offering yourselves as a hand or shoulder to those in need was a very kind thing for you to do.

On a lighter note, thanks for the shout out and you both need to dive in to Link Between Worlds as it is the definitive Zelda experience for me. Like Ben ALttP was my favourite and this could arguably topple it from the very lofty pedestal I've placed it on.

Such Game. So Fantastic. Wow

Some people shouldn't turn a blind eye to bullying, schools definitely come to mind. I have seen more than my fair share of stories of schools not doing a god damn thing when a student is getting bullied. Or they punish the victims, there was a story in Texas not too long ago about a student who got raped, an d the school and the police swept it under the rug. But they punished the girl by suspending her for 45 days or something like that for public lewdness, along with the rapist. It just disgusts me when shit like that goes on and the proper action isn't taken. Shit like that causes kids to commit suicide, or go and shoot the school up.
