As some of you may know, in the last couple of years I have grown an absurd amount of love for the developer Telltale Games. I hadn't played a game from them until The Walking Dead, but from there I was in love. The Walking Dead was/is one of my favorite games of the 7th generation. With the first episode alone, Telltale blew me away yet again with The Wolf Among Us. Soon I hope to go back to their earlier titles I missed out on (albeit less critically accliamed), like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Sam & Max, etc.. Now I'd just like to emphasize how quickly Telltale is growing into a behemoth developer this generation, after being held in high regard for mostly just The Walking Dead. Just take a look at how many titles they have on their plate for 2014... The Walking Dead: Season Two - TRAILER The beloved Walking Dead Telltale has become so known for is receiving its beloved second set of episodes, gearing to be released in 2014. The only thing we know is that the ... The Wolf Among Us I'm not sure at all if this is planned for release right before the end of 2013 or right at the beginning of 2014, but we do know that the second episode of The Wolf Among Us is evident. If you were a fan of The Walking Dead, definitely jump on the first episode ASAP because it actually hits the ground running way faster than The Walking Dead did. The second episode of a series may not be as ambitious as the beginning of a whole new season, but it is certainly something to look forward to for Telltale fans. Tales from the Borderlands - TRAILER This was an incredibly surprising yet intriguing announcement to me. Little to nothing is known about this game except for the fact that it is obviously going to take place in the world of Borderlands. It was definitely an interesting business move for Telltale to collaborate with Gearbox like this because I am sure there is so much potential. I am just really wondering how they will be able to pull this off in the classic Telltale manner with such a barren world. It was also a logical move for Telltale to pick Borderlands of all series to work with because if they want to keep with their cel-shaded graphics style, their job is pretty much done for them. Game of Thrones - TRAILER Nothing is known of this game aside for the obvious basis of Game of Thrones. I personally just watched the first season of Game of Thrones on DVD earlier this year and absolutely fell in love with the show. It is already one of my favorite shows now, so I am really hoping I can catch up all the way by the time this game is released because, even if it is like The Walking Dead and has no relation whatsoever, I won't have to worry at all. I was so excited that they announced this, but since they showed no gameplay or even cutscenes/dialogue, I have no idea what to expect and have no idea how they plan to mesh Telltale with the Game of Thrones world. So, what are your thoughts? Are you excited for any of these titles? Do you think they are taking on too much at once? I'd really love to hear anything you guys have to say. Okay I will buy the season pass for Walking Dead in a few days :] I think that season is nearly over so now's a good time to jump in and still get a physical copy. Episode 4... :[ Seemed to be the shortest episode since it only took me about an hour and ten minutes to finish, and ended so abruptly. Storytelling was still good and had some good revelations but really needed more content. |

Ooh, now I feel bad. D: I'm such a Telltale whore that I will probably get the physical copies on top of the digital ones, though. :/ |

Episode 5 of The Walking Dead: Season Two was honestly one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. It was masterfully done, and I was crying way too much at the end. Once you are done with the episode yourself, you can check out the video I posted on my YouTube channel with my thoughts, if you're interested. That episode was probably the best episode out of both seasons combined. Such a beautiful experience. |
