Hey Guys! Marmul Here! Today I went out and bought the Hyrule Historia and got to reading it when the first pages really hit me pretty hard where I live. Just reading through the pages and hearing how Link is supposed to be the player, really spoke to me. I will admit that I hadn't played every Zelda game and some people may say that I'm not a true Zelda fan, but people will say what they will. It occurred to me that whenever I was in time of need, or well whenever I needed to 100% relax, I resorted back to Zelda. For instant before Basic, I was feeling really dark, kinda what I like to call "Basic Blues" and the only way I thought I could deal with it was with Ocarina Of Time. So that's what I did. I went out and purchased my 3DS with Ocarina Of Time 3D. With this realization I decided that I hadn't experienced all the Zelda games and what each one has offered. So with that in mind I have decided to embark upon what I will call, The Legend Of Marmul! I will try and complete EVERY Zelda game in the franchise within the 2014 year! I see this as a soul seeking journey, a spirit quest if you will. Here among the Rad Rascals I shall document my journey. Along with here on twitter (@5GameSuicide ) ill post other things that might not make it into the forum posts. I have just a couple weeks to prepare me for my journey ahead. You are indeed ambitious my friend, and based on your success with the Suicide Run (a feat I could never accomplish myself), I'd say you have a darn good chance of making it. Best of luck, and I look forward to hearing the tales of your journey into awesomeness

I will be doing a point by point update on the twitter, but after I complete each game I will put up a giant summary. I will be going in the order written in the Hyrule Historia. I think that will give me the best idea of advancement throughout the ages. |

Man, what I've come to terms with Zelda II is that its all about technique and strategy rather than adventure like Zelda I was about. I think thats why its there was such a huge fuss about it. I'm actually enjoying it right now. |

Any chance you could update the original post with the games you have completed? I was sure that Zelda 1 & 2 were more towards the end of one of the Hyrule Historia storylines. I feel like I've missed out a ton if that's the case |

Oh, yeah Zelda I and II are towards the end of the Timeline, but I'm playing them in the order of creation I guess you could say. I'm still working on the Zelda I video. I can tell you that is all I have completed so far! |

Hey guys, Marmul Here! So I've decided to change up the plan a bit. The original plan was to play each Zelda game, one at a time, in order of release, that was the plan of attack. However, the best laid plans of mice and men often go a rye. Therefore the plan now is I will do reviews of each game as I complete them and play several Zelda games at once. Don't worry, this challenge will be completed! I'm actually going to put out a competition based on how many times I die in total during a game. Just call out the game and how many time you think i will die. The prizes will be smaller for the individual games, but the overall how many deaths during the Legend of Marmul will be something worthy. To give you a bit of help for estimation, for The Legend Of Zelda I died a total of 172 times. So guess wisely and follow @5GameSuicide to see when the winners will be called up! Ive was going to try and do one per month as i complete the games, but it appears that one per month and I will miss my overall goal. So I have to crank up the intensity. I know i know, its been a while but JUST beat Spirit Tracks…. THAT GAME WAS CRAP!
