Supposedly Nintendo has 10 billion dollars in cash and reserves. You wanna get me to buy a Wii U? Nintendo should completely fund the development of the upcoming Fallout 4 and make it exclusive to the Wii U. Done. Signed... and I'm so there.

Nintendo doesn't need to sink money into a new console. They would however greatly benefit from spending some of their reserves on acquiring new talent and opening new studios. People want a reason to buy a Wii U and new/interesting games is the best selling point the console could have to "gamers". |

A new console seems pretty far fetched. Seems like the obvious thing would be hardware price cuts. If they dropped it to around $189.99 around the release of Mario Kart or Smash Brothers that would move some systems. Also, $5 for a NES game (especially 1st party) on virtual console is ridiculous. If they priced virtual console stuff in line with the average mobile game or had a subscription service where you can play everything it would be a big step forward.

I doubt Nintendo will end up ditching the Wii U in lieu of another, more powerful home console. The rumors I've been finding online seem somewhat outlandish, and unrealistic to me. |

They won't just drop the Wii U for a new console, because they know what happened to their good little friends at Sega when they dropped the Saturn and made the Dreamcast. Unless they didn't pay attention to that lol. |
