Dunno where to post this, but it would be helpful to those contemplating which version to get. sorry if there's already another topic These can be based on reviews and observations. Have been asking quite a bit which games are better on 3 or 360, but never get to have a definite answer. Need help on this one. Better on 360: Skyrim-lesser bugs Mass Effect-faster loading time, smoother gameplay |

Better on PS3: Final Fantasy XIII: The CG cutscenes are a lot better on PS3. Overall the in-game graphics look great on both systems but the CG cutscenes took a big hit on 360. Some of the cutscenes look downright awful, which is a shame. Also has 3 discs on Xbox 360 compared to 1 on PS3. |

Better on 360: Bayonetta - better framerate Better on PS3: Zone of the Enders HD Collection - it got a patch that fixed a lot of problems with framerate and has better textures |

Are you talking about the first one? Because I disagree, the PS3 version feels and looks better imo. The framerate is consistantly better optimised, making it a lot smoother to play in most sections. The texture popin is almost entirely removed, they got rid of the ugly movement blur effect and shading and lighting (mostly on terrain) is a lot more realistic. Of course, the PC version remeains superiour to both in pretty much every way, but if you are on console PS3 is the obvious choice for me.
Definately, the same is true for the Silent Hill HD collection too. For some reason they just couldn't get it patched proprly on 360, to the point they offered refunds.
Agreed.... UNLESS you are playing in standard resolution, then the PS3 version tears really horribly. It's pretty unpleasent lol. I didn't notice that on 360 at all (where I played it first). 360: Fallout 3: Overall a more stable and less buggy release. I still remember going to a friends house and looking up at a totally unrendered skybox day one on PS3 lol, it took them a while to make it stable. GTA IV: Mostly better picture quality and ever so slightly smoother, but it has a wierd shader/blur thing going on sometimes. PS3: Anything that is split over multiple disks on 360: Because seriously. Or you could get multiplats on PC, where they all run better :p |

@Omega: Yes. Had to buy it again on 360. Though visuals look better on PS3, but the loading times just kept on annoying me. like, average on 3, 18s, 360 8s, so that's a huge difference. and the gameplay is slightly smoother, though haven't got that far for a thorough comparison. Yeah, PS3 sometimes freezes. From what I've heard, Assassin's Creed III is so buggy on PS3 but never had problems on 360, though not sure if the patch worked on 3. |

Mass effect 1 is better on ps3 but not by much. ME 2 and 3 are better on 360. Eternal Sonata ps3 Star Ocean ps3 Dark Souls is split. PS3 has slightly better frames... Only slightly. Miracles echos work properly on 360 but not at all on ps3. I think 360 online is more active and live has a shit load of pvp. 360 also has a shit load of hackers in pvp too. Borderland series 360. Frames and popin hurt ps3. Transformers wfc and foc 360. Again... Frames. |

In this past gaming generation, I would buy 99% of my multi-platform games on the Xbox 360. It's my system of choice and I would save my PS3 for the exclusives, of which there were many, or the instances when the PS3 version of a game was known to be better. For example, as others have noted, Final Fantasy XIII definitely favored the PS3. Likewise, games such as Fallout 3 were known to be better on the 360. Those isolated instances aside, most of the games were comparable, so you couldn't miss with whatever you picked. The other reason I gravitated towards the 360 was, lame as it might be, I strongly prefer achievements over trophies. Just a personal preference

These types of topics are always potentially entertaining. I'm the opposite of you Ben on this one. I've purchased just about all my multiplats for the PS3 and only grabbed exclusives for the 360. Reason 1 is I just prefer the PS3 controller and Reason 2 I trust Sony's hardware to not fail as frequently as Microsoft at this point. So... For the next gen I'm getting the PS4 first and the XBone only when it's safe to get when there is absolutely no risk of RROD type problems. I'm really soured on Microsoft the company after last gen. I love the exclusive games but have no faith in their hardware. Edited by stratamaster78, Feb 22 2014, 09:54 AM.

My first 360 red ringed on me, ended up just selling everything I had for it. Then I purchased a ps3 and fell in love with it, haha. Have a collection of over 100 now and keeps growing. Just going to buy all multiplats there, and only a 360 for exclusives. Just re got a 360, so I've been trying to compile a list of must have exclusives. |
