Hello AGG-Forum. since Nintendo is going to end online support for DS and WII games (link) this may, I was wondering if anyone is inerested in playing some of the games online while you can. Maybe we could use this forum to organize. Here's a list of my Wii games that have online support: BIT.TRIP Complete Gradius Rebirth * Mega Man 9 * Mega Man 10 * Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Rayman: Raving Rabbids TV Party Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles Sin & Punishment: Star Successor * Sonic Colors * The Last Story * Trauma Center: New Blood * (*games on my backlog) I also have a question: I've marked the games with online support I haven't played yet with a * . Which one of them would you recommend to play before online support ends? |

When they are talking about online support for most of these games I am assuming they are just talking about leaderboard because several of these game I don't even remember having online play. The one games on that list you may want to try the online before it goes is The Last Story. In all honestly I didn't spend very much time with it but it maybe something worth trying out before you can't. |

Unfortunately, "Online Play" and "Nintendo" have been something of an oxymoron up until recently. They nailed it with Mario Kart 7 and a few other games, but it's been little more than an afterthought in most of their Wii-era games. It doesn't surprise me that Nintendo is dropping support, since the volume of people using their online services probably doesn't justify the cost of keeping them active. However, I hope the 3DS and Wii U keep going strong with it, since they are finally showing some real promise in the online realms. |
