I noticed there was no thread for this game, alas I created one. Has anyone played it yet? I picked up a copy yesterday but haven't had time to dig into it. Thoughts?

One of my friends on FB has platinum'd it already!!...lol. He posted some of his gameplay and I will say one thing that looks really fun but at the same time lessens the difficulty is the travel speed. In the first game with Cole you had to scale buildings like Spiderman at a crawling/leaping/crawling pace with bullets winging at you....

In Second Son you run up buildings in nanoseconds like the Flash!!! Flash Jump....Flash Glide...Flash Run up next Building....it's crazy. It makes it ridiculously faster to traverse the city....but still...I admit it does look awesomely fun to do that.

I played it for a few hours today, and what you guys have said are accurate. It's a really fun game. It annoys me that the main character moves around like he's some weird spaghetti man, but overall its a fantastic game. Definitely in the high 8's or low 9's if I had to tag a numerical score onto my first impressions. Maybe not a system seller, but definitely a must buy if you have a ps4.

Hmmm, the more I play it the less I'm liking it :/ The gameplay is pretty fun, and the graphics are outstanding but everything else is just mediocre or bad. The storytelling is just bad and there's barely any character development. The missions are very repetitive and the side missions aren't fleshed out. The moral choices aren't interesting and have not affected the storyline at all in the 6-7 hours I played. I also just have zero desire to even want to explore the city, and it seems smaller than the first two games :/

I think it's just a case of this was really overhyped so I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe pick it up for $30 but don't buy a PS4 for this game that's for sure. Infamous 1 and Festival of Blood are still my favorites.

Anyone try out the DLC for this yet? I heard it's only 5 hours but I'm enjoying it more than the main game! For some reason I just didn't like Delsin and his attacks and movement felt clunky to me. Fetch just plays a lot better and her movements and attacks feel way more fluid. Combat with her is a lot more fun, and I'm loving traveling around the city switching between her various powers. Definitely worth the $15! I'm jealous of you Europeans for getting a physical release of this.
