New User Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #6,902 Joined: Mar 24, 2014	Well I turn 30 in two weeks a nd my gorgrous wife has bought me a model 1 playstation 1and Final Fantasy VII and resident Evil directors cut. I'm so excitec its unreal. Any other games you guys recommend I look at??

If you like RPG's, check out Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy 8 and 9, and Chrono Cross. There are many many others, but those are usually pretty easy to get your hands on and they are all great games. Squaresoft had a lot of great stuff on that console. There is a fighting game they put out called Bushido Blade that is really really fun, especially for 2 players. There was also a Bushido Blade 2. Everyone will let you know their favorites, but those were some of mine. Keep in mind that all of the PS1 games will work on the PS2 and PS3, at least on US consoles. Also make sure you have a memory card or two on hand for those RPG's.

Sega Does What Nintendon't Posts: 3,285 Group: Moderator Member #792 Joined: May 25, 2009	Front Mission 3 for PS1 is one of the best tactical role-playing games out there and you can get it for under $20 even off eBay. Its a must have title for the console!!!!! Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is another underrated PS1 tactical role-playing game that is a must have and really there isn't anything out there quite like it. Its half tactical RPG and half musical. also the PS1 version of the game is by far the best because the DS remake don't have English song vocals and is plagued with glitches. Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. These are some of my all time favorite RPG's. There a little bit pricey but well worth the cash. The best part of RPG's for me is the story telling and being able to connect with the characters and both Lunar games deliver this in spades! Silhouette Mirage: Action / Run and Gun game made by Treasure. Its simulator to Gunstar Heroes also made by Treasure! This game is very underrated and totally kicks ass! Einhänder - A side scrolling STG made by Square! Any of the games in Ridge Racer Series - Arcade style drift racing at its best! My all time favorite racing series! Ridge Racer, Ridge Racer Revolution, Rage Racer, and R4: Ridge Racer Type 4! the game play is so good that they still hold up even today and my personal favorite out of the tetralogy on PS1 would be Ridge Racer Revolution! PS1 had so many great titles... It has to be one of my all time favorite systems. And the clunky polygons of that era just add to the Nostalgia!

Racing games I play now and then but have to be in the mood for them Parasite Eve I and ii are survival horror rpg hybrids. First is more rpg and second is like resident evil. I just ordered both myself because I have heard great things. Koudelka is another horror rpg that I just bought. FFIX, Xenogears, Lunar, Suikoden I and II are all excellent rpgs I can recommend. The Crash and Spyro games are excellent platformers and if you want great rpg platformer hybrids then try Castlevania Symphony of the night and Tomba. Those two games have opposite atmospheres. If you want a racer my favourite would be Porsche Challenge, but that may be due to nostalgia more than game quality. If you don't get the Crash and Spyro games you're mad. Also try Pandemonium. All of the best RPG's have been listed above so go for those. Survival horror get all of the Resident Evil games, Dino Crysis and clocktower
