Thoughts on this? It's obviously influenced by the onslaught of ARPGs that have been hitting the handheld market the past couple of years. My hope is that this game is quality, has challenging end-game content and is more like PSO than MH. Aesthetically, it looks like Phantasy Star Zero, which is never a bad things. I feel like Freedom Wars looks like the most interesting one of these games to me and I don't think I can have 2 of these type of games in my life so I haven't paid too much attention to this one. |

Freedom Wars looks more like Monster Hunter, whereas (from closer inspection), Explorers seems more inspired by PSO. |

Looks like a nice mix of a few different rpg series. I can only hope we get some information in the coming year about a future US release date. |

Judging from this video, it seems to be a cross between the open world / aggro aspect of MMOs like FFXIV, and the action RPG aspect of Phantasy Star Universe. It also sort of reminds me of Crystal Chronicles in a way too. It would be cool if there were stages where you had to stick together with the party and the protection so as to not get killed by the miasma, likely wont happen though. Yeah it definately gives me the "Final Phantasy" vibe more than anything. I never really got far in to the original Chrystal Chronicles because of the dodgy DS online system, plus you had to use friend codes right? (I don't actually remember now lol). Hopefully this has a good online system, would really peak my interest. |
