Akiba's Trip 2: Undead & Undressed; Who's been playing it??

For you PS3 and PSVita owners out there....Has anyone grabbed a copy of Akiba's Trip 2: Undead & Undressed and played a good bit of it??

I've been excited for it to be released for a good 6-8 months and have it as a high priority for an upcoming purchase but with only a couple of reviews on youtube it's hard to get a handle on the lasting appeal of playing it.

It has a fun concept but it looks like it could be repetitive and old fast unless the difficulty ramps up as you progress or there is something deeper to the gameplay than just 3D beat-em-up action where you undress 'vampires' to burn them in sunlight.

Thoughts from anyone who's played it in depth?? Does it keep things fresh someway or does it indeed stay pretty repetitive with the gameplay??

What the fuck is wrong with Japan? haha. I just looked up the gameplay for this and you go around Japan beating up people and stripping their clothes off. Wth.

Is it actually fun or is it really bad like that Bikini Samurai Warriors game on 360? I'm interested in this just for shits and giggles.

Sega Does What Nintendon't

I had it preordered so I got the game on release day. I have played it a lot and over all I enjoyed the game. The game does have flaws and the biggest one for me was how often it has to load. Some areas are tiny and I know the amount of loading could of been reduced. The game can get a little repetitive but that's true for any beat 'em up game really. There is more than one ending and after you beat the game once you unlock new game plus and can even create what your character looks like as well as gender. I enjoyed the game and if you like beat 'em ups with mild RPG elements I think you will enjoy it.

Damn mods ruining all the fun.

I'm waiting for it to come out on PS4 in November.

Ha! I should have known you picked it up man since we pretty much like the same type of games. I love the quirky concept and I do love Beat-em-ups I just couldn't tell from reviews how varying the moves and combos were. I'm for sure going to grab it I'm just hoping to get it on sale from somewhere for $20-30. Though it's so niche I'm scared to wait in fear it may become rare and go out of print.

Oh PS4? I'm sold then. This game looks so stupid but if it's somewhat fun I'm totally down. Seriously though the mods need to get the sand out of their vaginas...this game is about you beating up people and stripping them practically naked. Expect some smartass comments...do not censor. Ever.

Maybe if it's a threat to kill someone then it's okay to censor but Andy's comment made me LOL about the FBI :P

I saw it earlier today and you kinda need to be a regular to 'get' Andsy's sense of humor because he always states it so matter of fact with nothing to show he's kidding.

So I understand the comment removal because new people dropping by or even current members not familiar with Andsy could have been offended by that comment if they either own this game or have interest in owning it.

It's all good....he was just being 'rascally' and the Mod I'm sure was just airing on the side of caution.

Woah.

To the mod who removed my comment - I'm not mad bro. But you REALLY needa be careful. Many would class that as undue censorship, and it NEVER bodes well for a free, open forum of discussion.

If you took offence at something so light hearted as that, I want your life man. :)

Andsy should be a mod. The forum might die then but it will go down in flames of awesomeness.

I think you meant the greatest idea ever.

And banning Pete won't make a difference he's not on here anyways.

I was looking forward to this one for a while, but I may also wait for a price drop. To those who have it, how will it appeal to a big Yakuza fan? Obviously it is quirky and anime-styled, but is their version of Akihabara fun to explore?

I've been playing it on PS3 for a bit. It's a fun game especially if you're a huge anime fan. I might pick it up on PS4 as well when I finally get one.

One of the coolest parts is going around and getting the flyers, which are ads for the real stores in Akihabara.

I was going to get Ishin after I finished Yakuza 5, but I just haven't had the time to do that yet. And, sadly, I am finding Yakuza 5 to be less than it was advertised to be (although I am playing it with the help of a walkthrough). Akiba's Trip looks like it may just scratch that Yakuza itch a bit, even though I am not a fan modern anime.
