Gather 'round, people, it's time to have a campfire moment and talk about serious business. That's right, It's time to shake the hornet's nest and discuss the mess that is GamersGate. We venture our opinions on the cause and effect of this controversy, and as one would expect, nothing is held back. On the lighter side, beer and video games are well represented in this episode. Guys, what an incredible episode! I love talking about the issues, and agree with both of you on almost everything said. I'm more so in the middle, but do think both sides are problematic. People like both of you, most of the forum members, and I are the typical gamer - just people loving and playing games, but there's also a large chunk of gamer that are bringing down the hobby. I can't act like I'm entirely innocent; like when you brought up AGG and the Johnny comments, I was one of the people. Granted, I was joking and knew Johnny wouldn't come back and even had MJR on my podcast, so obviously I think he's a great, great guy. But I could've hurt him, that wasn't my intention, but if that's how he feels I apologize. But then there's others like TvandLust that called me a misogynist because I didn't agree with him on an issue. There's also these gamer ranters on youtube that hate just to hate. I won't name them, but I'm sure everyone already knows who I'm talking about. People need to be more positive and stop the bullshit. We have a problem in America with our rebellious culture, and always needing to find something to fight for, even if it's a non-issue. That's the problem. At this point, feminists are just cherry picking arguments instead of focusing on the real issues. As a male with body image issues, I can tell you first hand that male sexualization and female sexualization are BOTH an issue. STOP SIMPLIFYING THE ARGUMENTS! Let's work together to help each other out, not work and talk down to select groups! One last thing to mention. Andsy, you're a boss! But I will say there's a tad bit of hypocrisy being that you boycotted the AGG podcast for disagreeing on an issue.  Just a thought! |

I don't know about all that death threat stuff. I've read that most if not all of the times she was doxxed or hacked were fake. Could be just her trying to look like a victim for attention. I'm not going to believe either side, since it all looks like shit. I don't understand how this whole thing turned into sexism. I honestly don't care, the part I somewhat care about is the whole gaming journalism thing. Wasn't a fan of gaming journalism that much in the first place, but this whole thing makes it smell even worse. I also find it incredibly ironic that Phil Fish called TotalBiscuit a "gross nerd". I swear, that guy needs to superglue his mouth shut. Great episode. Still listening to it, just had to say that stuff about this whole gamergate thing. Its just a mess of stupidity. |

So jealous Ben, I drank my 120 minute Dogfish Head IPA for the Sharknado 2 premiere. Great stuff that'll make you grow a beard instantly! Good discussion on gamergate. I don't think anyone deserves death threats...especially not over video games but fuck deceptive people with an agenda like Anita Sarkeesan. Agreed 100% with you about Destiny. Are you playing it in single player Ben? I can't play it in anything but Co op shooting the shit with friends since the game is so boring otherwise :/ Destiny and Titan fall were pretty disappointing for me, and I think Wolfenstein is probably the best fps so far this year. I'm playing mostly single player at this time, but I'll delve into the co-op at some point. The downside is that I'm playing the 360 version and all of my friends who own it went with the PS4 version, so I'm at the mercy of randoms. As for the 120 Minute IPA...damn you, Crazykrafft! That stuff is too good and I can't get it here
