A 3rd party Nintendo, is a better Nintendo.

I remember the days before Angry Birds where the best mobile game you could play was...well, none really. That guitar hero knockoff? or Cube, that terrible, terrible FPS?

Anyways, it's come a long way, but for many it's still an irrelevant platform. Guys. Smartphones are as relevant to gaming as the 3DS and [kinda] the Vita.

Now that the Galaxy brand is the most popular, and it's what I own, I'll show you how I game.

First, get an MFI Controller. Any game (Grand Theft Auto, Crazy Taxi, etc.) with MFI support can use the controller.

I suggest the MOGA controller. It's affordable ($12.99), high quality, portable, and easy to setup.

Next, I'd suggest looking into emulators. There's quite a few.

N64 - Depends on the game. Super Mario 64 is perfect, but Zelda OoT flickers.
GBA - Perfect
GB & GBC - Perfect
SNES - Perfect
NES - Perfect
DS - Only played Pokemon Heartgold and it ran flawlessly.
Genesis - Perfect
Atari 2600 - Games are too much for the phone to handle.

There's more too, like Neo Geo, Mame, Sega CD, Dreamcast, Saturn, PSP, PS1, and Wonderswan, but I haven't used them yet. I'll come back with the results!

As for actual games designed for the platform, it's a bit harder to find good ones. It's not that few exist, but these games aren't marketed like AAA blockbusters. What I suggest is look up games by your favorite publishers (Ubisoft, EA, Capcom, Microsoft, 2K, Sega, etc). Most of those games are great, especially the Square Enix and Ubisoft games. Also, star using toucharcade.com! If you're looking for reviews, they're the best site. Other than that check the top rated for each genre of game. Do this daily and you'll find some real games.

Here's some titles to get you started.

Rayman Jungle Run & Rayman Fiesta Run

Clash of Clans

Sonic Dash

Fun Run - Multiplayer Race (2D Mario Kart, probably my favorite of the bunch)

Pitfall!

Dumb Ways to Die

Asphalt 8 (supports MOGA)

Plants vs. Zombies 2

Deus Ex: The Fall (supports MOGA)

I think that's a well rounded dose of games. Keep in mind too, the mobile platforms probably have the largest selection of games available. I'm sure you could find, like myself, 100s of games worth your time.

Mobile is absolutely amazing at this point, and I suggest everyone embrace it!

Great topic dood :prinny2:

does the moga fit in your pocket comfortably? like by looking I can tell it can fit, but do the edges and joysticks and such feel uncomfortable in your pocket?

I also own a galaxy but I rarely use it for games, I'm just not much of a portable player at the end of the day. I have a few emulators on mine but only ever really play solitaire or Mahjong. I don't have long bus journey's anymore and I have a pc to play with on my lunch breaks, my battery dies really quickly too so I prefer not to waste it.

I am quite interested in the pad though, touch screen games bother me and I'd love to play some of the games with a pad.
