This year we get two Assassins Creed games! Which did you pick up and what do you think? :D

I love this franchise and am hoping for the best with Unity. My friends like it so it's coming on Thursday from Amazon. Rogue looks excellent too since you get to play as a Templar and it looks a lot like BlackFlag which is probably my favorite AssCreed game ever! Probably going to get Rogue next month unless it's on sale.

I was very hyped for rogue, was planning on renting it but family video didn't stick good to my pre reserve :/

When they get it back in I'm getting it for sure.

Unity looks ridiculously good, but reviews have been saying that t hats the only upside of it so idk

^ Just FYI if you're okay with waiting until Black Friday, Rogue is going to be $25 at Walmart :]

I'm going to buy both of them. But I told myself I can not buy them until I beat number 4 and due to Dragon Age coming out next week that might not happen for awhile.

^ Oh man Dragon Age is getting insanely good reviews. I have enough for one game via Amazon credit after buying Unity and it's really hard deciding between Dragon Age or Alien Isolation/Evil Within during Black Friday :[

Be sure to eventually get to BlackFlag though, it is definitely worth your time! :] That's the only AssCreed game I 100% completed.

I picked up Unity and have dropped about 30 hours into it so far. (I got it a couple days before launch) I'm loving it so far. I haven't experienced nearly as many glitches as other seem to be reporting. I fell through the ground once, laughed and restarted from a checkpoint.

This feels more like AC2 than any recent AC game. Paris is beautiful and the scale of the city with its enormous crowds is something I've never seen before.

Honestly though, Amazon regularly ships games to me a couple days early and the girl who works at the Canada Post Distribution Centre has a sort of crush on me.

I'm loving it so far too but I'm only about 4-5 hours in. I'm also not having as many issues as people are reporting, but the framerate is indeed balls when lots of stuff is happening on screen. Churches as well, I nearly got sick in one of the churches I went into early on because the framerate was so terrible. Otherwise it runs about the same as BlackFlag did on PS4 90% of the time.

Graphics are so damn amazing, and I'm enjoying the story so far tbh. My big gripe is I get stuck on things way too often. Some of the chases are so infuriating because I'll get stuck -_- That has been an issue with every AssCreed game but I'm suffering from it more often in this game it feels like.

Glad I took a chance on Unity :] I can't wait to try out Rogue in two weeks.

Which Assassins have been your favorite in this franchise? I really like Edward Kenway the best, followed by Ezio :]

Man Unity is excellent! Couldn't help but play it for 5 hours straight today and loved every minute of it. The co-op is fucking badass because it flows so well with the single player and doesn't feel intrusive at all. After I finish a mission some NPC comes up to me asking for help, I teleport to some co-op people and we spend 5-7 minutes doing about three missions. After that I get a piece of armor as a reward and am right back to single player. So freaking cool just seeing three other people sneak up from all areas assassinating guards who in single player would just gang rape you from all directions lol.

Main gripes...the story. I just finished sequence 5 and the story has really taken a back seat the past 3 sequences. Before joining the assassins you find out some interesting stuff about Elise, your Dad, and her Dad and there hasn't been a word about any of that since :/ I keep getting stuck on things especially if I'm indoors and it is very frustrating! Argh!!! Framerate is nowhere near as bad as the reviews and people on neogaf made it out to be. There were about 2 times in the 10 hours of playing where it made my experience bad, but aside from that the game runs about as well as any other AssCreed game I've played on consoles.

Definitely one of my favorite games this year :]

Beat Unity! Probably took me around 17-20 hours with minimal amounts of side quests. Loved it! The story picks up again around sequence 6 and stays good until the end. Arno was a great character, but the ending left me wanting a bit more...and I would have liked to see Napoleon Bonaparte a bit more since I love that history shit.
Spoiler: click to toggle
Personally I think the technical issues are way overblown.

There were three times in the game (two in the same building) where the framerate was so bad it did interfere. I had two glitches (attack animations not showing in co-op occasionally) and getting stuck in the air, but aside from that if you've played any Assassins Creed games on consoles it runs pretty much the same as those did :/

Definitely going to get the season pass. Cannot wait to see how they handle Assassins Creed in China! :]

Question about unity
I recall seeing a trailer or something for a part where you time travel and there were planes and guns and stuff,
I haven't seen anyone mention this, what's up? Was it such an insignificant part of the game that it isn't worth the mention? Or was the trailer lying? I'll see if I can find it

It's a time warp. There's a couple of them throughout the game and they're fairly short missions, and are pretty much the only times you leave the French Revolution era. That particular one you're talking about is during WWII.

You basically run around a small map that is set in a different time period collecting flags and are rewarded with a lore tidbit if you get enough.

I don't know why they made a trailer with that though, it would have been a great surprise in game instead of an hour or so of me being upset that I checked my newsfeed today.

Getting Rogue today! Was only $25 bucks on Black Friday which is a steal of a deal.

Rumor is that the next AssCreed game is set in Victorian London. Really hope it's true!! :D Loved learning about that era, and I love London! Excluding the food...ya'll motherfuckers need to learn how to cook.

Just finished Rogue! Really awesome story and great main character. Plus you get to team up with young Haythem Kenway who is badass!! :D I barely did any side missions though. The story is great but the majority of content is ripped out of AssCreed 3, and BlackFlag so it feels very same-ey.

Fucking awesome ending too. Tied in with Unity in such a cool way!!

Oh and shortly after I posted that thanous it was confirmed it's in London next year!! :D
