So I had no plans to buy this game. I have my New Mario Kart tracks to play and Smash Bros is coming out on Friday, I don’t need to spend more money this week and I certainly don’t need a who knows how many hour RPG. Then when it came out on Tuesday and I bought it. So the first thing I noticed is that the game is big, really big, probably too big. I spent 2-3 hours in the first area and I didn’t see half of it (I think). The map is just littered with stuff to do. The quests are very of fetch questy but there is so much stuff to do that on the way to the quest point you will most likely complete 3 other quests. (pro tip: Don’t spend of bunch of time it the first area. Once you get through like 3 story missions things happen and the world opens up more.) Conversational choose are much more closer to the DA:O then DA2, so your choose are no longer just Be Nice, Be a smart ass, or be a jerk. In fact I picked to be an Elf Mage and that is sort of an odd choose considering what you character represents. That fact comes up a lot, as it should, some much so that it is kind of impressive that amount of contact that they recorded that 80-90% of players will never see. 1 think that I do feel disappointed with at the moment is the ability trees feel very simplistic and I don’t think you are able to put any points into the characters stats (I think it just happen automatically). |

I've always liked the worlds Bioware create, but I've never been as attached to their stories as everyone else in the world apparently is. The writing is so damn cringe worthy. |

I've played a few hours, but lack of time and the Smash launch have put it on hiatus. I'm enjoying it so far and I will probably end up putting the full 100 hours into it. It's kind of weird but with many very long JRPGs I tend to lose interest, however I usually stick with WRPGs. I'm a Human Male 2-Handed Warrior. I'll be going Reaver, once the option becomes available. I'm glad the game allows for witty humor and dialogue. I will be RPing myself, so lots of jokes and playing a generally "good" guy. I'm excited to see if this will live up to being a great game or just a place holder for The Witcher 3. I sincerely hope so! |

Did anyone end up finishing this game? I got a good 25 hours in last January but had to stop due to my semester starting up. I beat the Witcher 3 during that time frame, and coming back to this after Witcher is so difficult. I didn't realize until now how boring the dialogue is in Bioware games :/ Like in Witcher it feels like legitimate acting, in Inquisition now it feels like two people in opposite rooms having no idea what each other are saying :/ I mean damn, Witcher 3 is better in every single way than this game is. Voice acting, larger environments, storytelling, side quests, everything is so much in Witcher. The side quests in this are just MMO padded crap while in Witcher it all felt well thought out. Is it worth finishing this game up? I loved it when it came out, but after Witcher it's pretty mediocre in comparison. Contemplating just going to FFX HD on PS4. These aren't the droids we're looking for.

I borrowed it from my friend back in February and put about 40 hours into before I had to give it back, haha. I loved it. I keep telling myself to pick up a copy for myself, but I never have the money. I loved the story and the world, and how accessible it can be for people who haven't played any of the earlier entries (like me, though I have both games on Steam). |

NinjaP I haven't finished DA:I but I did just start a play through of ME2 and realized some interaction sequences are better than others and sometimes worse than I remember. So yah switcher 3 Def. has better overall interactions these days. Here is hoping for ME4 to have solid dialog. |
