Post em up, bitches! What are yours? 10 favorites, and 5 stinkers. I didn't play Dragon Age or Smash Bros and probably won't get to this year. I'm also going to avoid remakes/remasters.

Best

1.) Forza Horizon 2
2.) Bayonetta 2
3.) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
4.) World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor
5.) Assassins Creed Unity
6.) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
7.) Sunset Overdrive
8.) Wolfenstein: The New Order
9.) Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
10.) Mario Kart 8

Worst

1.) FF13: Lightning Returns...I bought the $150 collectors edition too, ugh :[
2.) Destiny
3.) Murdered Soul Suspect
4.) inFamous: Second Son
5.) TitanFall

Honorable mentions to Shadow of Mordor, Hyrule Warriors, and PvZ Garden Warfare since those games are fucking awesome! :]

Isn't too much I actually played so I'll list what I actually have

Trials Fusion PS4- I don't own it or a Ps4, but played it at a new friends house quite a few times, some really great multiplayer.
South Park Stick of Truth- I got it when it came out had so much hype. It was a great game, I platinumed it, just wish they would of came out with some dlc actually.
Kingdom Hearts 2.5.. Birth by Sleep on ps3 all those command boards..yes..yes.yes.
Rayman Legends- Played a little bit at a friends house, first immpression it was pretty fun.
The Wolf Among US- Just !_____________! Was great.
Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare- Haven't played it too much since I got it, but enjoyed some nice multiplayer, If anyone has it for ps3 and wants to ever play it tell me.
Walking Dead Season 2- Same as wolf among us, and I loved season 2 more then 1 I think, clementine is just an amazing character.
Fez- I didn't get into it much, yet at least..need to give it another go.
Mercenary Kings Ps4- Played it with a friend a lot, pretty fun contra esque with a lot of different missions and objectives.
Soul Calibur Lost Swords- Honestly yes it was free, but probably one the most lackluster fighter games on psn.

Yeah that's about all I really played, lmao.

Ah, this should be fun. We always have a pretty interesting mix of games in these lists so I can't wait to see everyones! As is now usual for me, i'll do games I wish I had played as well as the normal lists.

Let's work our way up to the good stuff...

Dissapointments/disasters of the year!

3) Metal Gear Solid V; Ground Zeroes - Too short, too expensive, too blatantly greedy. I've watched it the whole way through, and it's still not worth any more than £10 of my money. If it hits that mark, i'll consider paying for it.

2) Sacred 3 - I LOVE Sacred 2. Huge open world, tons of quests and items... sure it may have some mediocre points to it, but it's a great game nonetheless. Sacred 3 was a massive departure from the series roots, and felt like a slap in the face as a fan of the series.

1) Posted Image
Need I explain? Bad form Ubi, bad form. x)

Games I'm interested in/still want to play from this year:

The Banner Saga - I picked this up on GoG a few days ago, but i'm far too deep in other games like this to try it atm. Maybe early next year.
Bravely Default - Tons of people have been saying how awesome it is, if I can get it at cheap at some point I'll get it.
Danganronpa 2 - What I've played of the original is fantastic, so I can't wait to (hopefully) play this at some point next year.
Xenonauts - After being dissapointed with (but after the expansion, still enjoying) the new XCOM, this looks like a game much closer to the series roots.
Theatrhythm: Curtain Call - The first was my favourite 3DS game for a long time, still don't know why I didn't get this yet
D4 - It's an XBone exclusive (which I don't understand at all, but hey) so I'm probably not going to play it. And it's pretty sad that it looks like it's never going to be finished. Dammit I love Swery.
The Evil Within - Looks great, but like most current gen games i've been waiting to get it at a lower price.
Pokémon ORAS - I picked up Persona Q instead, and I don't regret it. Hopefully won't be too long till I get this.
SSB Wii U - I think i'll be getting it as a christmas gift :)

The good stuff!

Honourables, in no particular order:
Alien: Isolation
Perfectly captures the feel of the original movie imo. Great old school survival/horror design crossed with the more modern takes on the genre.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
A solid improvement over the last game, with a MUCH improved story mode. Let down by DLC fighters that could have easily been part of the game, and the fact that i'm not very good at 2D fighters :P
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
A fantastic update to the original, but only an update nontheless. Inclusion to PS+ on it's day of release was just awesome.
Danganronpa
I've not finished this so I don't want to place it in my top 5, but so far it's a very, very good adventure/point and click style VN. Imagine Ace Attorney crossed with... Battle Royale? Yeah, let's go with that.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
A very solid end to Light's trilogy. Very strong combat and open world systems, and a great use of the time mechanic (I wish more games did this). The story was good from a fan of the XIII series' perspective, but the ending is kinda lame/cheesy.... but not bad.
Hearthstone
A very solid card game, the cost of cards means I don't play this as much as I would like.
Hyrule Warriors
I've not played enough to give full impressions, but i'm a massive fan of both series so this was a no-brainer. What I have played has been a lot of fun.
Wasteland 2
Along with Divinity, this may be the beginning of the glorious return of the cRPG? I hope so. A very, very good return to the classic style, but I feel the combat is a little to simple and it starts off weak in the begining, compared to the awesome second half.
Divinity: OS
I love what i've played of this so far. In depth skills, stats and combat systems along with very good co-op... but i've not progressed far enough to give a fair opinion on the game as a whole.

I waited for it to be $10 bucks shipped before getting it, but yeah that was just a gross move by Konami.

Totally agree with you on Bayonetta 2 :] I still need to play Alien Isolation! Bought it on Black Friday for $30 :D

Yeah, gross is a good way to put it unfortunantly :(

You really, really do need to play it! I don't know how they could have done a much better job at capturing the original feel tbh, it's so refreshing after that crap that "Gearbox" gave us lol :)

5) ittle Dew – I am fairly sure that this came out on the PC last year, but I know that it came on a the WiiU this year. So even though I played it on the PC this year I am going to cheat and say that it is part of this years list because of the WiiU. This is a little indie Zelda-ish type of game but with more of an emphases of puzzles then combat. It is a game that took me completely by surprise and blow me away; and I love the humorous in the game.

4) South Park: Stick of Truth – I do feel like the combat never reached its full potential in this game, but I loved going around this world, the story and the funnies. (side note: Obsidian I love your games but if you can’t make a with a steady frame rate when the graphics are cardboard cutouts then when.)

3) Mario Kart – I feel like this could have been my number 2 but I kind of end up falling off this game quickly. Even with the new tracks that came out, I played them, I loved them and then the next day Dragon Age and Smash bros came out so guess what. But the game itself is awesome. It plays great, the track are great, I really don’t have any complains.

2) Fantasy Life – This game is very much like Harvest Moon for me in that I can’t explain what is fun about it. Any element taken individually would be mind numbly boring; but apparently mind numbly boring thing + mind numbly boring thing + mind numbly boring thing + mind numbly boring thing = Super Fun. This could be the reason why I always failed math.

1) Super Smash Bros WiiU – Dude Super Smash bros, nuff said.

Oh man I forgot all about South Park...I bought it when it first came out and I still have it sealed :[ No idea why I never got around to that.

Agree with you on Mario Kart 8! That was fun as hell when we had a consistent group of people here playing it for a good month and a half :]

1) FFX HD- Still great. Notice how I only mention the first game.
2) Shovel Knight- Everything I expected it to be. And a bit, but not too much, more.
3) The Swapper- The intellectual game of the year, no doubt.
4) Bravely Default- A very average RPG that's salvaged by beautiful visuals, music and battle system.

Worst
Smash Bros 3DS- a surprise to many, I know. But I just couldn't find myself enjoying this version. Will try the WiiU version soon instead.

Here's a list of all of the games I played this year so far:

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
The Walking Dead: Season Two
Mario Kart 8
The Wolf Among Us
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Tomodachi Life
The Sims 4
Hyrule Warriors (only a couple minutes)
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Game of Thrones Ep. 1

Most likely goes like this:

1. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
2. The Walking Dead: Season Two
3. Mario Kart 8

I couldn't really decide where to go with the others just yet, so maybe I'll have a more definitive list at the end of the year.

Completely agree that it saved Diablo 3! I wish there were more CG cutscenes (only the launch trailer if I remember correctly) since Blizzard is the best in the business at that stuff, but all the new missions and modes are fucking amazing.

Best:
Shovel Knight (my personal GOTY)
Mega Coin Squad
Loadout (great F2P shooter on Steam)
Dark Souls II (still need to buy it, but spent a lot of time playing it at a friends)
FarCry 4 (spent 4 hours playing it at a friends last night, awesome game)
Luftrausers
Goat Simulator
Gauntlet
Forza Horizon 2 (might get me to buy an XBOX One)
Sunset Overdrive (like Forza Horizon 2, made me eye that XBOX One a little more)

Worst:
Destiny (the beta was nice, the final product was very disappointing)
Titanfall (mediocre)
Assassin's Creed Unity (the series has been sliding down that hill of mediocrity, and Ubisoft needs to get their shit together)

The Evil Within - Looks great, but like most current gen games i've been waiting to get it at a lower price.

Tsk tsk - Missed your opportunity there, man. The game was on super sale for a while around Black Friday, but I'm sure it'll be cheap again soon.

^ I think Omega is in the UK.

Square Enix is releasing FFX again on PS4 :/ Interesting about Smash Bros though, what don't you like about it tri4ceofcourage? I haven't played either version yet!

I wish I liked FarCry 4 more. I chose that over Dragon Age since shooters are easier for me to beat than RPGs, but I had a way better time with FarCry 3 :[

I disliked the version of smash for 3DS because of how small the character models were. It felt like I was making little dots attack eachother, and it really made it difficult for me to enjoy the game. Also, I thought the stages were really poor and I also struggled with how cramped the 3ds was for controlling a game of that type. It's a fine game, but an absolute joke compared to the proper Wii U version.

I didn't really play a ton of new releases this year, not much interested me so I'll just say my favorite and least favorite game with a summary on why I chose it.

Favorite
Insurgency
As a former Ghost Recon addict this really hits the spot. It has many differences from Ghost Recon but still feels similar but I think that is for the better. I've only had about 30 hours so far with it as my graphics card unfortunately died in the middle of the year and I only just replaced it, but man is it great. I can already tell it's going to sit right next to Counter Strike as my go to FPS.

Worst
Viking Conquest DLC for Mount & Blade: Warband
I've spent spent well over 2k hours on Warband so you could say I'm a fanboy... which makes this insult of a DLC even more upsetting. It's a true slap in the face. The singleplayer is great for Warband but the real meat and potatoes is the multiplayer and needless to say the multiplayer in Viking Conquest sucks. It's like a less polished, less fleshed out vanilla Warband, which isn't even that great admittedly. Free mods do it so much better it's embarassing. The singleplayer is decent BUT once again, free mods do it way better. In fact, the mod the team worked on before Viking Conquest, Brytenwalda is way better (The Warband DLC is all made by modders in the community (contract work) whose work is popular and impressed Taleworlds). To top it off though.... the DLC is buggy as shit to the point that it is near unplayable. If you were considering it, don't buy this trash.

Honorable mention to Hearthstone, almost got my favorite.

Holy shit did that really come out this year? Why did they even make it like, I saw like literally no advertising for it XD and wasn't it only like 30 bucks at launch too? Definitely one of the worst of the year XD at least that I've seen
