First look at the characters Yooka and Laylee, and the game itself is called Yooka-Laylee. I'm all over this game and it will be the first game I've ever supported on Kickstarter. The Kickstarter launches on May 1st and is coming to PC first and consoles later.

Plus the team consists of former members of Rare which is always great news. <3 Rare.

^ Couch of course!

If you guys haven't played Banjo Kazooie before definitely check out the XBLA HD ports. They're still excellent to this day.

I hear the Banjo Kazooie games get praised a lot online but never hear anyone talk about it generally outside of it. Maybe it was an age thing or that not a lot of people i knew actually liked the N64...or much of the games available for it.

I'm glad to see it got backed though, must be horrible having put so much work into something and now you can't even make any more sequels for it.

I'm very happy for the people who loved the Banjo-Kazooie games and for the people who made them. However, this is a series I never could get interested in. I don't know, most of the fifth and sixth generations are games I never really grew up with. Sure there were some, but very few and far between. So, I may not be hyper excited about it, I am happy for those who are.

On my own, I had played Chrono Cross and FF VII - X...and that's about it.

I honestly didn't play many of them until college early 2005 (Xenogears/Xenosaga/Star Ocean 2.....)and that's all I'm remembering. I was much more into Rhythm games at that time. Pop'n Music and Guitar Freaks were the main games I played. It wasn't until I got my Wii the first time I went to Japan that I discovered games like Ys and Fire Emblem. Then, I had to sell it. Then, when I moved back there to work, I started to play more of them thanks to people like Andy (Suikoden 1 and 2), Sushi_b (Wild Arms), my best friend (FF Tactics, Vagrant Story, 1000Arms, Lunar 1). However, I don't hold them nearly as dear to my heart as SNES generation of RPGs or Falcom's Trails of series.

It's the same thing with SNES generation of games, too. There's a good 10 to 12 years of my life where I either didn't play games at all or played a game or two of Madden with my friends or my dad. I've had one hell of a backlog to sift through and unfortunately, PS1 era doesn't excite me nearly as much. It's all about those 16bit and colors, yo!

I would love to help fund the campaign, but I don't really have the most money these days, so I don't want to blow a lot of cash on it. Then again, I won't have another chance to get these rewards really so maybe it is worth it.

New supporting character revealed today...Trowzer. I enjoy stupid humor. Sad that they're not going to do a physical console edition but at least I get a download for the PS4 version.
